RULE NO. 1: One who falls first loses On the day after her heart was broken, Kara Nicholls swore that she will never fall in love again. Letting her first boyfriend shatter her hopes was too much for her to accept. That was when she made a deal with herself: The next boyfriend she will have, she shall be the first one to break his heart. Luke Walker is every girl’s dream guy. He is good-looking,...

Just a thought...
Now I can finally justify why Stephen Chbosky chose the title “The Perks of being a Wallflower.”
With Charlie being a wallflower, he had the perks of seeing things in a different perspective, of seeing everything as a whole. As he had been observing everyone while he’s there in the sidelines, he was able to observe what’s it like inside, which makes him understand life more.
Let’s say, you’re in...

New Year. New Chapter. Fresh Start.
So as my family and I welcomed the new year, my mind was full of thoughts on how would make this year better. Well it’s quite usual for a person not to do the things he or she specifically mentioned in his or her new year’s resolution list. With that said, I know I haven’t accomplished from my own list.
One of the things I wish to do this year is to spend more time with my...

Adios 2012. Hello 2013.
Another chapter is about to end. We are now going to start another chapter in our lives. I hope that all the characters present in my 2012 will still be present in my 2013. Plus, I wish that there will be new characters who will add color in my 2013.
To all my blog readers, thanl you! :) To my fellow Hunger Games, Delirium, and Harry Potter fans, rock on!
To my family, friends, my boyfriend, and...

MY WORK: 'Game of Hearts' on Wattpad! →
“Everything in life, including love, is a game.”
Hi my dear Tumblr friends and blog friends, hope you can find time to read my first story on Wattpad. It was two months ago when I started writing and posting “Game of Hearts” on Wattpad. Here’s the gist:
“RULE NO. 1: One who falls first loses On the day after her heart was broken, Kara Nicholls swore that she...

Life's a fact, people do fall in love, people do...
“You know what’s wrong with you, miss Whoever-you-are? You’re chicken, you’ve got no guts. You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say, ‘Okay, life’s a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that’s the only chance anybody’s got for real happiness.’ You call yourself a free spirit, a ‘wild...

Boracay Round Deux
Just last November 2, my workmates and I flew to Boracay for another assignment. I was really frustrated then because I lost the chance of me having a long weekend. But then again, upon my arrival, Boracay stole me away and got lost in its beauty.
This time we stayed at Boracay Regency Beach Resort which is located at Boracay, Station 2. The hotel’s really great! I loved the ambiance,...

Keep Calm and love Delirium Trilogy
Just finished reading Delrium (Delirium Trilogy Book 1) last night and I was left with different emotions to deal with. So rather than making such a long review, I decided to show my love for the trilogy and for Lauren Oliver by making a “Keep Calm” post.
“Love: It will kill you and save you, both.”
In Lena’s world, the new United States, Amor Deliria Nervosa (or love)...

“Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.”
And so the promise of E.L. James to her readers.
I know there were some who were so intrigued with the story that they started to read the first book, Fifty Shades of Grey. Some didn’t like it, some loved it.
In my case, I had known about the trilogy June this...

BORACAY THROUGH MY LENS
It took me 21 years before I finally set foot on the white sands of Boracay. Thanks to work for making that possible. We only stayed there for two days but I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the simple beauty of the paradise.
I was really excited that day. I didn’t care if the reason we’d be there was for work and not for vacation. I also didn’t care if I didn’t...

The "mid-life crisis" of twenty-something me
I am 21 turning 22 this coming December. I have many questions but I don’t know if I’m ready for the answers. I am young, yes. Naïve, yes. Childish even, yes. But there’s this part in my brain, something buried within my cerebrum, the limbic system which says that I’m not; that I am being unfair to myself. My limbic’s argument is if I keep on labeling myself as the young, naive, and childish...

NOW PLAYING: (Monday- 09.10.12)
Typecast - “Will You Ever Learn?”
So what’s the point in all of this if you will never change? The days have passed, the weather’s changed. Should I be sorry? Could I be sorry?
…you know me well, you know it’s wrong. Then what is it you feel? You hide behind those perfect smiles. It won’t fool me, cause you already did.

NOW WATCHING: "White Collar"
I absolutely hate myself for being such an outdated person when it comes to US TV series. If that’s a sin, sue me.
Just two weeks ago, I found myself spending two to four hours or so in front of my laptop watching this new (well not really new because it started in 2009) US TV series. If I tell you what brought me into discovering “White Collar”, you won’t believe me....

NORWEGIAN WOOD
It was my first time to read a Murakami and I must say that the author has that talent to turn every sentence like a work of art—something worth millions…or even billions! Every sentence is poetic. Period.
Norwegian Wood is a story of Toru Watanabe and his experiences as teenager living in Tokyo during the 60s. The novel opens with Toru, already 37 years old, arriving in Hamburg,...

Unity in a time of suffering
“The Filipino spirit is waterproof.”
I’ve been seeing and reading that line on different social networking sites for these past few days since an unknown weather disturbance attacked the Philippines, specifically it capital, Manila, and other nearby provinces.
It started one cold Tuesday morning (August 7, 2012). I woke up early, prepared stuff I needed for work. I was really...

UAAP: Go Tigers!!!
SORRY FOR A VERY LATE POST. My family and I watched the UAAP Opening last July 14, 2012 in Mall of Asia Arena. And damn how I missed the noise!!!
Syempre before the games, there was an opening ceremony courtesy of this year’s host, National University. Well, the opening ceremony was okay, it was just “bitin”. I still wanted more, but nothing came next. BITIN!!!
Here are some...

The curtain has fallen
“Sumasaya ang family ‘pag tulung-tulong all the way. Problema ay may remedy kapag may konting comedy. At kahit na tumitindi ang hirap ng buhay, pare, kung tayo ay may unity, ang imposible ay pwede.
Home along the riles, home along the riles. Ito ang aming home sweet home (choo-choooo!). Umuuga, lumilindol! Kumapit ka, kumapit ka kung ayaw mong magkabukol!
Sumasarap ang pagkain kahit na ulam ay...
